I placed my first investments for clients back in 1988, and the decades since have carried families through more market cycles, downturns, and recoveries than I can easily count. What all of them taught me is that steady, disciplined decisions made over the long haul tend to outlast the clever move of the moment, and that lesson still shapes how I manage money today. My focus has always been consistent, long-term performance rather than chasing whatever happens to be working this quarter.
My work covers retirement planning, asset allocation, mutual funds, separately managed accounts, and college savings. I lean on a trusted circle of legal and industry specialists so that estate planning, long-term care, insurance, annuities, and retirement accounts like 401(k)s and pensions all fit together instead of being handled in isolation. Earlier in my career, I spent more than a decade running banking investment platforms, and over the years I’ve written and led workshops that trained other advisors to hold themselves to a high ethical standard.
Outside the office, my husband Mark and I have two children, Tyson and Britney, along with a pair of Boxers who moonlight as certified therapy dogs. We bring them into schools, care facilities, and community settings around the area, where a wagging tail turns out to be its own kind of good medicine.
